SARAH RULLI - Born in 1984 in Lanciano (Chieti – Italy), Sarah Rulli graduated in Flute at the Conservatory of Music of Pescara and graduated in Politics and International Relations at the Lumsa University of Rome. After having graduated with Antonio Amenduni at the Triennial Course of High Flutistic Improvement at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese, she improved her studies with the most important exponents of international flutism, such as Bruno Cavallo, Patrick Gallois, Carlos Bruneel, Emily Beynon and Andrea Oliva. She won the 1st prize in the “G. B. Pergolesi” International Music Competition of Naples in 2006, and the 2nd prize at the International Music Competition of Fasano (BR) in 2008.
She constantly collaborates with the International Youth Orchestra “F. Fenaroli” of Lanciano, with the “U. Giordano” Orchestra of Foggia, with the Symphony Orchestra of Pescara and with the “F. Busoni” Chamber Orchestra, playing under the direction of many prestigious directors such as Marcello Bufalini, Bruno Aprea, Bruno Bartoletti, Donato Renzetti, Lior Shambadal and Ovidiu Balan. Her début as soloist happens in August 2008 with the Moldavian National Chamber Orchestra, playing the F.Devienne Concerto n°7; she then performs, still as soloist, at the “Martishor” Festival in Kishnev (Rep.Moldova), at the United Nations in New York (NY) for the Italian Cultural Circle at UN-NY, at the Merkin Hall (NY) with the Ensemble Du Monde, and in the Aula Paolo VI at the Vatican, at the presence of H.S. Pope Benedetto XVI. Her musical studies are constantly combined together with the historical and political ones, and with her planning activity in the organizational field: from the organization of master classes abroad, to the activity as assistant to the artistic direction at Rome Opera House, her skills as a flutist join up with the one as president of the Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica.
Her passion for foreign languages (she speaks fluent English, French and Dutch) and for lyric theatre bring her recently to start a new activity as narrator, to export projects of “chamber opera” abroad.
